ChelseaData.ca offers web hosting suited to technically-oriented clients, who are capable of programming/designing their own website (pages, programs, data tables, etc). ChelseaData.ca does not offer graphical web design services at this time, but we can offer assistance with technical aspects - e-commerce, data tables, online catalogues, etc.
ChelseaData.ca offers a private cgibin with all hosting plans, allowing you to implement your own CGI scripts to add dynamic components to your site automatically, anything from a simple order form to a full-blown member management or database management system. Many hosts limit you to only a few scripts supplied by them or at minimum either require permission to review your scripts (which I used to do) and implement them in an inaccessible location, or limit the disk space available to house your own scripts, restricting your ability to take full advantage of the advanced capabilities of the Internet. With ChelseaData.ca, you have the freedom to implement, modify, and delete your scripts instantly at any time through FTP. The disk space occupied by your scripts is limited only by the total disk space included with your account.
As well, the network was built in a way that accommodates both NT and UNIX scripts. We support Perl 5.x, PHP 4.x, Python 2.3.x, and compiled executables (dBASE, C/C++, etc.). All standard Perl and PHP modules are installed.
